Lucky Peak Rooster Tail 04/28/2012
The famous "rooster tail" water discharge from Lucky Peak Reservoir attracted a horde of admirers Saturday April 28, 2012 east of Boise. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages the discharge with a flip bucket that directs the spray more than 150 feet into the air which dissipates the erosive force of the water as it enters the Boise River. The rooster tail can be seen again today starting at 11 a.m. through 7 p.m.
